Let's take a trip back to 2003... I'm out on the road with my then tour manager and still very good friend Tito Picon. In the way that only Tito can, he says "yo dawg, you need to listen to this". The song he played me was The Sadist Nation by Darkest Hour. He had been working as Darkest Hour's tour manager and their new record had just been released. As we're blasting the song in the van, Tito is air drumming and playing air guitar almost simultaneously. He would fix his imaginary glasses mid drum beat just like Ryan Parrish would do! It's really quite awesome to watch lol. Coming out of the speakers was everything I loved about American thrash AND Swedish metal combined into one. It was as close to At The Gates as we were gonna get from this side of the pond. Little did I know at the time, Tomas Lindberg actually did a guest vocal track on this song. I was a fan instantly. Over the years I have gotten to know the guys in Darkest Hour very well and actually worked as their guitar tech on the 2004 Ozzfest. Those guys always treat me good and glad to have them as buds.

This song and band kinda changed my musical direction a little bit. So here I am paying homage to the great... Darkest Hour.

Big thanks to Nic Kartchner for doing a tremendous job with these drum tracks that he recorded in his studio. Check Out Grotto Audio. Brian Kellner came to my studio to perform the vocals and he knocked it out of the park too. Hope you guys enjoy!
